These lights are nice and bright and give very even lighting. You’ll want them in a place with a high ceiling, like in a pole barn for because of how tall they are, you could easily break them out of the socket if you bumped them. But buying them for the right place, they’re great.

A pretty bright idea
These are great! I’m already a user of the 60W (600W equivalent) version of these bulbs, but these 400W equivalent bulbs are great for an even wider array of use cases. There are only a few places that need that much light, so this bulb makes a great middle ground when you need a lot of light, but are in a smaller space or want to light up a larger area with more bulbs. I’m using both of these as the main light source for rooms with an inadequate amount of light sockets.For a medium sized room, just about anywhere you place one of these provides adequate lighting for the whole room. Although, you will absolutely want to have some kind of diffuser like a lamp shade or frosted glass cover, as the light that comes out of this is very intense and comes from a bunch of tiny individual LEDs – not fun to look at, even accidentally. Behind a diffuser of some sort, though, the light really shines – pun intended. These “corn cob” style bulbs despite their somewhat industrial design put out surprisingly evenly spread light from all sides and the end.If you’re wondering “does this work in my light socket”, the answer is probably yes. The standard E26 base on the light itself is the standard household size you’re used to, and E39 is a common commercial standard. The one thing to note is that, depending on what you’re hooking this up to, you might need to modify your wiring or adjust how you use it. If you’re using this at home, all you need to know is not to use it with a dimmer switch. However, if you’re replacing commercial HID bulbs, you may need to disconnect ballasts, ignitors, etc. before using this.At this price, I would have liked to see some added features or a more attractive design, but I will admit the price is reasonable for the target use case, which seems to be replacements for larger commercial lights where they spend a good amount of time – if not all the time – powered on. The design is barebones, but for that use case it doesn’t need to look good, just work good. Judging by the fact that the 5 year warranty listed on the bulb roughly matches the expected life of 40k hours (assuming for the sake of this comparison constant 24/7 usage, not their 6h/day figure) I anticipate the seller is pretty confident about that reliability.

Nice looking lightbulbs, very bright
Nice looking lightbulbs, very bright, and you do get what you pay for value wise.I can’t really speak to the lifespan of these bulbs since I am using them in a basement and they may just last forever being such light use, but time will tell. I will say they do use a decent amount of power for the light they put out, that also means the can get pretty hot. That will not be a problem if you are not leaving them on all the time of course, just think about how an old incandescent bulb used to get hot since that is a similar wattage.

Small but mighty bright
Super bright bulbs. These bulbs work well. They take a second to turn on once power is turned on but they are bright. I have used them for several hours with no dimming or led failure yet. If leds start to go out in an unreasonable amount of time I will update the review. These are smaller than other COB led lights and fit in most outdoor fixtures.

Worked great at first very bight. Unfortunately after the return window closed they started flickering and stopped working, which was a short time. Not happy given the cost.

Super bright white light LED bulbs
These corncob style LED light bulbs are amazing. They are beyond bright, so bright that you do not want to stare at the light unless you want to see the led pattern on your eye lid for the next 5 minutes. I have pictures of the 40W and the 60W usage versions side by side for comparison and a picture with a 12oz soda can for reference. They are high, the 40W is more compact and still puts out a radius of white light that will light up any garage, shed, basement area unlike any LED bulb you have tried.I have to use these for a few months to attest to their durability, functionality and value for the money. They are however a solid feeling bulb with a tough plastic protective cover. I will follow up in a few months or sooner if I have any issues.These are very nice LED bulbs, thank you for letting me test and review them!
