Has good overall brightness that can be easily set with the included remote. Can adjust Red, Green, Blue with dedicated keys. Can be set to rotate and alternate continuously various colors. Haven’t used the buttons on side of unit yet. I use my USB C charger cable and it works fine, either with an adapter, or plugged into a USB Power Strip. Unit is lightweight, solid enough. Wouldn’t make a point of dropping it though. I tried the Bluetooth streaming from a tablet. Sound was decent coming from the monaural speaker. Volume decent, not great. But I didn’t buy it for that. It provides an excellent, reasonably priced ambience in the room, and I’m very pleased. I even take it with me when I spend the night off. Solid purchase.

Northern lights with or w/off stars
I have been using it for several hours now trying to understand all the buttons on the unit and the remote control so I can show my god daughter how to use it when she gets this as one of her christmas gifts tomorrow.Pros1. I love that i can use bluetooth and play music instead of the the few white noise/lullabies in the unit.2. So colorful with or without stars3. Can adjust speed faster or slower using remote. I prefer slow speed so it is more relaxing when looking at northern lights4. Volume increase or decrease button to adjust sound when you are awake vs falling asleep listening to music or white noise or lullabies5. Time setting 1hr or 2 hr6. Button on remote to select next or back default song/sound.7. Unique sound for 1 hr vs 2 hr setting8. Optional button on unit to power on/off9. Optional button on unit to toggles from stars, northern lights to both10. Optional button on unit to play next sound11. Optional button on unit to play previous song12. Large stable base13. Lights up a huge space. I even tried it in my massive living room/kitchen area and it lit up 85% of the ceiling over 25 ft. My bedroom is already 20 ft by 18 ft and it drapes along 3 walls. Wow great coverage14. The sound quality is great14. The full star images are dense15. Combo stars and northern lights looks amazing and vibrant colors16. I did have to connect n disconnect n reconnect a few times before I got the bluetooth connected to play my music. But it did work.2. The remote does require a few presses to get the function/feature to work sometimes but be sure to aim at the unit light not on an angle for best contact3. Charging cord could be longer4. Doesn’t come with adapter so make sure outlet has usb ready or use a spare usb adapter

Regular vs. “Pro”
If you’re like me and trying to figure out what the difference is (was), let me save you the trouble I went through and spoil the answer:Regular (black, silver, white)- cheaper cost, SPECTACULAR northern lights style flowing colors, music and soothing sounds, syncs to Bluetooth to work as a speaker, remote control functions.Black Pro – costs MORE, trash quality light projection that just looks like triple layeri crosshatch of colors mimicking being underwater. Doesn’t move as far as I could tell…Same basic other functions as a calming sound maker and Bluetooth speaker.Point is, if you WANT it to look like northern lights (like I did) then DON’T make the mistake of thinking the “deluxe” version must be the “better” version.The pro version looks worse. 👌And it doesn’t tell you that anywhere.

Looks great but not user friendly
Loved the way the colors are bright and the movement. I don’t like the remote control. It barely works and not as user friendly to manually adjust settings

I have been watching for the best one and when I saw this one after buying two other brands before there is no comparison this one is absolutely stunning beautiful and so many setting.

We got this for our daughter and it’s perfect! Easy to change the light settings with a lot of options. Love the timer setting. It covers a lot of ceiling space and look absolutely beautiful at night!
