    Easy Smart Home Solution
I’ve completely bought into the Kasa smart switches and plugs, and I’ve been very happy with them. These are the first plugs I’ve bought, and they make it easy to add lights that aren’t on a switch to my Alexa room groups.I got these because I wanted to be able to use Alexa to control my garage workshop lights with the rest of my home lights. But since they’re just plugged into the same outlet that the garage door uses, there wasn’t a smart switch or smart bulb I could use. After getting my shop lights set up, I decided to try one of the plugs with my stove hood fan/light. That sounds unusual, but the regular lighting in my kitchen is a little lacking and we always end up having the stove hood light on anyway. So I leave the light in the “on” position and added it to my “kitchen lights” group.I have several rooms without ceiling lights, so these let me add the various lamps that light those rooms to my Alexa lighting groups. I haven’t researched much into using smart bulbs, but it just seems like since bulbs are consumables, having a permanent switch or plug is a more cost-effective solution. These plugs pair as easily as the switches do…which I’ve gotten used to doing but may not be objectively “easy.” It’s a little fiddly having to go into your wifi setting and switch around networks while you pair it, but it’s not that bad and once you pair it, it’s good until you change your wifi name or password.

    Works very well
I use these on a lamp in my living room and on two lamps downstairs in my basement. They work very well. I just opened my cell phone hit a button and I go downstairs. My lights are already on. I would really like that. I get up in the morning. I grabbed my cell phone hit a button. My lamp is on in the living room when I get up in the morning. These work very easy to pair. I recommend price wasn’t too bad.

Using these as I pivot to using HomeKit devices
Amazon probably won’t like hearing this but I’m ditching the cheaper Alexa products for the HomeKit products since the HomeKit consist seems to be more reliable. These particular plugs have been my go-to. They go on sale a lot so you can wait for a price drop before you snag them and I’ve never had connectivity issues with them. Additionally, they work great with both Alexa and Siri. The setup time is so easy because you just need to scan a QR code and it does all the work for you – unlike some other smart devices that I have used in the past (looking at you, wemo). My only real pain point is they still are a little big so if you’re putting them on a power strip or something, they are going to take up another plug or two. But I usually have enough outlets around for me that this isn’t a big deal. I’ve had these plugs for years and they are still going strong!

    Easy to use solution
I bought these to help setup a greenhouse or sorts in a room in the house to help manage the lights and fan and these have been perfect. All my succulents and cacti and orchids are exploding and flowering. It’s been a really easy way to manage everything so now I can go on vacation and not worry about it. They turn on for 12 hours and then turn off.Compatibility with Android has been easy. Pairing was quick. Following the step by step process in the app was simple and worked every time. Occasionally I do turn them off before the timer is up, and I can do it from anywhere in the house. The quality of the product is right where you would want it. Easy and simple, nothing to break. The manual on/off is a nice fat square button on the side to it. There’s a blue/orange light on the side to help you determine if it’s on or off, but then the light turns off so it won’t disturb your sleep if it’s in your bedroom.Manually turning these on/off either by the app or actually manually pressing them is quick and responsive. I’ve had a few occasions where they’ve done some funny things like not turn on when the timer said it was supposed to, but I chalk that up to up Internet and wifi setup being unreliable at times.I’ve purchased these plugs multiple times now as I’ve used them up and added more items to the growing network of houseplants and even though they’re no longer in the same room, they all go in sync. I always know when it’s 9am or 9pm because lights turn off on their own. It’s perfect!

“Convenient and Reliable Smart Plugs for Home Automation”
The Smart plug is a great addition to any smart home setup. These Wi-Fi outlets are easy to set up and integrate seamlessly with Alexa, Google Home, and IFTTT, making them highly versatile. I love that no hub is required—just plug them in, connect them to the app, and you’re good to go.Overall, these smart plugs are reliable, easy to use, and a great value.

Does not work with first gen Alexa
I can’t fault the product for any of my complaints but people should be aware:I understood this was a “Matter” product when I bought it, but Amazon was trying to be helpful and had a “this is compatible with your Alexa” note on the listing. I also researched that it was compatible with both Alexa and Matter devices so I figured I’d buy it instead of the vanilla version as it would give me options later on.The catch came when I went to go set it up in the Alexa app (the Kasa app worked great with it and picked it up fine). When I went through the steps to discover it in the Alexa app, it asked if it was a Matter device, I said yes and it told me I was out of luck and needed a newer Alexa device.I had to return it and will be getting the HomeKit compatible one instead, but this is no fault of TPLink. Though I wish they would have made it more clear on the Kasa website, as I even went there to triple check I was good before I ordered.

Easy to set up and still working great after several years
I bought several of these two years ago and they are working very well. The switch is louder than I’d like, but for my applications it isn’t a problem. You have to change from your local Wifi network for setup only. It takes no more than a minute.
